Former Montebello HS Math Department Chair: Roshan Shah
Roshan Shah worked as a Teacher in the Math Department at Montebello High School in Montebello, California from 1993 to 2024. He served as a mentor to many of the newer teachers, and he helped support the design of the math curriculum. He was a strong advocate for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, and he worked to ensure that his students were well prepared should they endeavor to major in the hard sciences. Roshan held other leadership roles over the years as well, including serving as the Montebello Teachers Representative for the Union Trust Committee, Advisor of College Bound Today, and Club Sponsor for the California Scholarship Federation (CSF). He also taught a range of math classes, including algebra, geometry, and calculus, and he created and taught a Business Financial Stats course that introduced students to the financial markets.
Roshan graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California (USC). He then worked as a teacher for a few years before earning a Master of Science (Educational Administration) degree from National University.
